As a Ranger fan, I don't hate Arod. I'm sorry to see him go, but if it can make the Rangers a better team, then I'm all for the trade. Now I just hope the Rangers sign some pitching. Probably won't be until next offseason though.

if you honestly think A-Rod cares if joe schmo from cleveland or Mike Smith from Minnesota hates him, you are very misguided. people will flock to their stadiums to see him and the yankees play and he will rake in millions of dollars and at least 110 wins. so i dont think a few boos will bother him very much.

I'd say it makes the Rangers the front-runners to sign Kerry Wood. The Cubs better try to keep him off the FA market.
Let's say that happens. Mad, would you be happy to have traded A Rod (signed through 2010?) for Soriano (through '05) and Wood?

AT least 110 wins? This is a good time, but your greatly misguided if you think this guarantees 110 wins. Jeesh. Let's give NY the championship.
A-Rod playing for the Yankees will increase his fan base. There will be an explosion of A-Rod Yankee merchandise sold around the country. Playing for the Yankees is the best job in baseball, whether we want to admit it or not.
maybe "at least 110" was a little bit premature. but they got 101 last year. i think the additions of A-Rod, Shef, healthy jeter all year and improved middle relief make the yankees a better team. if i had to guess today id say they will go 106-56.
