Thoughts on Etanislao Abreu?

I was just wondering what people are saying about him/expected MLB appearance. I don't know anything about him other than he is 23 and hasn't played above AA. He doesn't seem to hit for power and doesn't seem to have a ton of speed (at least according to the stats I found on cba.com; he is not listed on baseballamerica.com). He did have 25 doubles in 07 in AA. Also, I know that he is listed as the 6th best prospect in the Dodgers system but I don't know how much that really means.

I am asking because I just took over a team in a 30 team league (looks like league is going to be contracted to 28) with minor league rosters and 40 man rosters. The former GM decided to pay Abreu a $1.5M prospect contract, which basically means that I get to decide whether or not to continue paying him $1.5M a year until he has 150 MLB ABs. My team is in full blown rebuild mode so I am trying to figure out if I want to waive him outright and use his money elsewhere or try to trade him, knowing that his value must take a significant hit at that price.

Not worth the $1.5M you are paying him. He'll have a solid chance to hit for a good avg but won't bring you anything else in terms of fantasy value. He's similar to another Dustin Pedroia but with a little worse BB/K ratio. Dump him and look for someone with a higher upside, IMO.
