Which SP to select?

Postby West Texas Wolf » Mon Feb 16, 2004 11:23 am

I have the following lineup in a 10-team H2H competition. Losses is an additional scoring category to the typical 5.

Oswalt, Mulder, Webb, Redman, Lowe, and Jerome Williams

We are in the final rounds of our slow draft (23-25). I plan on taking 2 SP and 1 hitter during these rounds. Aaron Guiel or Melvin Mora will probably be my selection of hitter. I have these choices available for pitcher. I have included porbably starting location and team.

Wakefield #4 BOS
Redding #5 HOU
Washburn #2 ANA
Burnett (DL) FLA
Batista #2 TOR
Towers #5 TOR
Horacio Ramirez #3 ATL
Doug Waechter #4 TB

I like Wakefield and M Batista out of those listed. Mora's a good choice for an extra hitter.

I agree. Wakefield and Batista would be my choices.

I agree with everyone else except I would take Batista first.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

I think Washburn will have a bounce back year.

I'd pick Washburn and Batista. Wakefield can help you, but I'm not a fan. Burnett is also a great last pick as upside is huge. I wouldn't touch a TB pitcher witht the choices outlined.
