new 2008 dynasty league openings

I've decided to create a new dynasty league beginning for the 2008 season. Here's a rough estimate of the league constitution...small changes can be made, but this should be a good outline of the league:


Drafting:
The draft will be conducted on the message board in a snake method, meaning the last pick of the first pick of the second round, and so forth.

Draft picks can be traded, but all trades must be approved by the league in a majority vote, and all teams must have the required 40 players within a one week time after the draft.

5x5 Roto league scoring (not set in stone). Between 15-20 teams (still undecided)

Each roster will contain 25 active players and 15 reserve players for a full 40 man roster. "Active" only means they are on your Yahoo roster. "Inactives" do not necessarily have to be minor leaguers.

Each roster will have a starting lineup of the following:
C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util
SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P

At the end of each season, every manager will be required to release 5 players from his 40 man roster. The date which your players need to be dropped will tentatively be December 31 of that season's year.

The regular Add/Drop deadline is the last game of the World Series. After that, no free agent adding is allowed. Trading will still be allowed after the WS, but in the case of 2 for 1s, no one is allowed over 40 players at any time, and the team who loses one player may not pick another player up to get to 40 (but will only have to drop 4 then to get to 35).
Following that, there will be a redraft of five players to get teams back up to 40 players (after being at 35 from previous drop). This is where the newly drafted players and new international players will be drafted. You can also draft people who were dropped by other teams in their 5-man drops. New draftees, as well as new international players are not available for adding until this draft. The redraft will go in reverse order of the standings, and will not be serpentine style. Again, trading picks [either for players or other picks] will be allowed in this draft.



Please know that dynasty leagues take an understanding, or at the very least, the researching of many minor leaguers, not all necessarily the top ones. Whoever is interested, please let me know. Know that this will not be a single season league. Dynasty leagues are meant to last for several years (ideally 10-20). If you are interested, we'd like to have you, but you will have to be very active, and keep up with your team/the league even when baseball is over (albeit, not much).
