Rangers manager Buck Showalter wants to give Blalock a tryout at second base this spring, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Fantasy Spin: If Blalock passes muster there it might open up third base for top prospect Mark Teixeira and cut into Michael Young’s playing time at second. (Dave Darling/TSN)
Is this for real? Anyone heard anymore about Blalock to 2nd base

?

I really don't see it happening, BUT I really hope it does! I have Hank.

i seriously doubt it happening, Young is an excellent devensive 2B, Blalock is an excellent defensive 3B. I dont think with Texas' pitching they will mess too much with their defense. I personally think Texiera will start out in AAA, and will take over 1B in the future (sharing 1B and DH duties with Palmiero in the near future).
