Yahoo online Drafts....

Postby Mighty Monks » Mon Feb 16, 2004 10:01 am

I as wondering if you are able to have two people doing an online draft on yahoo at the same time on the same computer. I have some people who are roomates in college that want to do the draft and I did not think you could have two accounts open at the same time. Does anybody know any more about this? T hanks

You can. My brother and I did it one year. Problem is it causes the browser to crash very easily. The trick is you have to bring up two sign in pages before you sign in.

Can't one of them go to the computer lab? I think it would be crazy to try and draft alongside someone else in the same league. They'd know your strategy, and snipe all your sleepers. It's definitely better to have your own computer and desk to lay out your draft information, than to share with someone else in the same league.

Just install another browser like Opera and use that for one and IE for the other. Works great, no crashes.

I have another question..

If my team wants to do like the first 5 round of the draft by email.
Can we insert that into yahoo and then auto-simulate the rest of the draft or do you have to do the whole thing?

Well, if you want to do this, just have each team select the players that it got in the email draft rounds as their first picks. Then continue on with the Yahoo! draft as usual.

Hey Swarmee. Seems like Im always talking to you. Though I didnt take your advice before and I kept Vlad and Arod out of my expansion draft. Youll be happy to know that the Fantasy Baseball Gods punished me and my driver crashed early in the 500 so I draft last in my league now.

So I can do the email draft and then everyone can just go to the auto draft Insert their keepers and their 4 or 5 guys from the email draft in first on their draft list and then just go on from there?

Anyway. We were thinking about an email draft. But not for too long just like 4 or 5 rounds. Is there a good way to do this? Any advice?

Thanks

You don't need to have two different browser programs to do that. I've had two seperate draft windows open at once using just IE. Once you sign in and open the draft room applet, go back to the other window with the league page and log out but leave the draft room window open. After you sign out, sign back in as someone else and you should be able to enter the draft room again with a new window for the other user.

I don't know about issues with crashing, although I do have cable internet. Dial-up may give you issues.
