I bought a one month subscription to the site this week to try it out, and honestly I haven't been too impressed. None of their '08 projections are up, so their PECOTA cards are way outdated at the moment. The articles are nice, but thats the only real value I'm getting out of the site right now.
Maybe I'm just new and don't where to find things yet -- anybody else feel the same way?
You don't get access to the site when you buy the book. For fantasy purposes you can buy their fantasy package which gives you access to PECOTA and the Player Forecast Manager. But, remember that for season long coverage all you get are some articles...the Forecast Manager is not updated which is a shame. You are pretty much paying 19.95 for playing time updates in the preseason if you are buying solely for fantasy purposes. I suggest buying the book, saving your 20 bucks and figuring out adjustments for at-bats yourself. But, definitely buy the book because it really is great.
The PECOTA projections are due out next week so for the person who was worried about getting the projections you should still get them if you just signed up for a month.
But like I said it isn't a fantasy site so you won't be getting weekly updates on players etc, it is more of a real baseball site so unless you really enjoy the articles I don't suggest paying for the site.
I personally love the articles and it is the one baseball site I check on a daily basis year round.

I get both the site and the book and I don't know how I lived before I had either
PECOTA is the bee's knees - while certainly no one source should be your bible for projections and scouting - I make most of my rankings based around their forecasts.

Mid-February. I don't suggest you get it CD. I'm sure it's nothing you'd be interested in.
On-site will be released within days...

Nate Silver: ...and here's our most commonly-asked question of the week. The PECOTAs are very, very close to being ready. I just wrapped up the work on the new version of the MORP formula last night, and everything else isn't far behind. PECOTAs should be online within a week from today, fersure. And I hope they'll be worth your wait.
In my fridge: Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS), Central Waters Peruvian Morning, Bell's Batch 10,000, Dale's Pale Ale, Capital Brewery Amber, New Glarus Moon Man, and Guinness.

Can you explain the Pecota projections. Should I go by the 50% or the weighted mean? Also for online, how would I set up the Player Forecast Manager for an NFBC style draft, I have no idea what to put for Finances, Display, and League.
