It was 81 pitches, all of them strikes. ;-)

Wow, i screwed that one up. I must have confused it with 27 strikeouts on 81 pitches. Or I'm just retarded. I think I'll lean towards the latter! :-[

They should make "The Curious Case of Sidd Finch" into a movie. That started out as a Sports Illustrated April Fool's joke, by George Plimpton, about a young pitcher on the Mets who was clocked in spring training at 168 mph. A Tibetan Monk who could throw 168 mph. He developed it into a great book.

Lol. :-D It's all good. We throw numbers around every day, so we're all bound to mix one or two up here and there.

I totally forgot about Sidd Finch. What made that great was that they had the Mets in on it as well. I remember an interview with Davey Johnson where he was asked what would happen if one of Finch's fastballs were to hit someone.

Davey: "If someone got hit by his pitch I'm sure it would kill them."

Classic! :-D
