Nomar in 1st?

My league is a 10 team non-keeper H2H. Categories are Avg., OBP, TB, HR, RBI, Runs, and SB. Need 2 at every position and 5 OF and 5 starters. Because so many middle infielders are needed, is Nomar worth the #4 overall after Arod, Pujos, and Vlad? Soriano will only qualify for OF if that is where he starts the season. Helton is the other guy I'm considering due to high OBP. Want to go position scarcity in first round to get better value later in draft, but is this too early for Nomar with this format?

brandon funston seems to think nomar is worth the #4 pick. i think he is crazy

I've seen him go in the 1st in several mock drafts......I think it's way too high....mebbe late 2nd, early 3rd.....

Nomar can be justified beaing taken in the first, but I woudn't. I'd rather get a guy like Tejada or Renteria later in the draft.

And Soriano will qualify at 2B. Any player who played 15 games at a position last season qualifies there for 2005 in Yahoo.

Even with your league rules I believe that the 4th overall pick is to high for him.

Helton over Nomar in that league-type. More TB and OBP from Helton. Super solid batting average, to boot. I think Helton's the only current day player that has the ability to swat a .400 season.

Late first round possibly, depending on your pitching categories; fourth overall seems a bit too early, though.

if Nomar is that important to you. Go get him! But if you wait until the 2nd round, and somebody picks him up before your pick(which i think will happen) be content with Tejada.
Helton and Tejada!!!! That almost sounds as good as A-rod and Giambi..
