CBS Sportsline and Fantasy Auctioneer Partnering Together!

Postby dmendro » Fri Jan 18, 2008 2:39 pm

From David Gonos, writer, Sportsline.com:

Fantasy Auction -- CBSSports.com now has auction capability (starting Jan. 29) thanks to our partnership with FantasyAuctioneer.com. We are the only major Fantasy site with an auction service and I suggest you try one out this spring. The drafts are exciting and the strategies are deep.

Nice. We use them both anyways so it just saves us the $20/$25 for FantasyAuctioneer.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Has anyone heard any new news on this. There is no info about fantasy auctioneer on CBS Sports and there is no info on CBS Sports on Fantasy Auctioneer. Was this just a rumor?

Guess I just realized that it says starting Jan. 29th, I guess I am a few days early. Still would think there would be info on it somewhere though.

No, they could partner with someone else that was mutual, and still have nothing to do with each other. Sheesh, and to think I failed my first semester of English my Senior year.

It is sort of rediculous that I posted a fantasy baseball question, hoping for a fantasy baseball reply, and I get two clowns arguing about ENGLISH. How disappointing!

Well, if I had any info for you I would give it to you, but I didn't yesterday. Today, this popped up on the league setup page:

Coming Soon!!! - Online Auction Draft Room - CBSSports.com Baseball Commissioner now offers the ability to run a live online auction as an alternative way of drafting your league.
Coming Soon!!! - Mock Drafts - Everybody knows that your draft is one of the most important pieces of the Fantasy Baseball season. Now we offer an area for you to practice drafting as many times as you like. Participate in mock drafts against other fantasy baseball players so you can see how players are being valued before your draft. You can even select to draft from the same position that you'll be drafting from in your real draft.
Coming Soon!!! - Enhanced Scouting Tools - Our enhanced scouting tools will make it easier to track players who aren't on your team, but who are on your fantasy radar. You'll be able to easily see stat reports, news, and live scoring for players you're scouting.

Well today the "Coming Soon" is gone from that list and you can set your league for an auction draft, but it won't let you in a draft room and there is no information on the new draft options anywhere. Just an update...if anyone knows anything, please share. Thanks
