I was forced to sit through the 2 HOUR season finale of Australian Idol a couple of years ago at my g/fs brothers house.
I am not joking or exaggerating , this was THE LONGEST 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE.
There was a big fat girl and a little Italian gay man. How does it take 2 hours to pick?

thanks for reminding me...too bad i missed the first hour tonight. i watched last night though. i try to catch the early auditions because that's the best part, but some of these are so bad it's starting to look like it's all staged.

I used to have a morbid curiosity of looking at the early auditions for a good laugh, but even those get worse to the point they're so bad that they'll never be good for the sake of bad. It has jumped the shark since William Hung. It's obvious those folks who can't sing to begin with come out in droves for their 15 minutes, although I find myself laughing at the thought that their family members urged them to try out for a good laugh.

I'm also in the boat that I try to catch it at the beginning to see the bad people. I don't care if they're staged or not, but once it gets down to just the good people, I don't really have any interest.

Yep, i'm the same way, If it's on while I'm flipping through I stop and laugh if I miss it oh well
