Assuming Soriano moves to CF, I think M Giles is now the most Valuable 2B in terms of Keeper leagues. Sori loses eligibility afterthis year, Kent and Boone are old. Giles will still be the 4th or 5th 2B drfated in Kepper leagues, but you are probably getting the best guy at the position for the long term!

I think Giles is a very solid pick but even in a keepre I cant put him over Boone and Kent. They still have a few years left as being the top 2 "If Soriano is moved" 2nd baseman in fantasy imo.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

Last year, M Giles was the 22nd rated second baseman going into the season. I think he's getting fairly overrated (as are Berroa and Ensberg) due to one good season.
Someone in my Yahoo! league (20 teams) selected him in the 3rd round, which we all scoffed at. And while Giles turned out to produce a 2nd round pick's numbers, he still could have been picked in the 10th round and actually made that owner a profit last season. One good reason not to overdraft your sleepers. That's what the final three rounds of the draft are for.
And BigL, I would pick Reyes over M Giles for the long run.
Edit: I would pick Boone and Kent first in a keeper, though.
Another Year, Another Championship. I'm 2 for 2.

I never said that. For the future Reyes is the way to go IMHO.

I'd probably still take Boone first. If this was Boone's last year than, yeah, i'd take Reyes over him.

If it would allow me to save some early picks and get Reyes a bit later than Kent (and it was a keeper league), than yes...i would probably do that.

I'm taking Reyes flat out over Giles. This year...next year...and any year. Giles output last year was more a product of the system he was in. Atlanta does not have the same firepower it did last year. Giles will bust.

I know it's not a popular opinion around here, so i'll just leave it at that. You guys can have Giles. :-)

If Soriano moves to the OF, it just makes an already weak position even weaker. Past Boone, Kent and Giles, it drops off real fast, although Vidro, Castillo, Young and Reyes are going to be decent picks. I'm going to wait to pass judgement on Reyes until ST starts. He showed real promise last season at SS. I want to see how well he handles the move. Hopefully it won't distract him to the point where his offense suffers.

Well from what i hear, umm... cripes i cant think of his name but he is in the minors yet for the brewers. Anyway i havent seen him play but he is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread as far as 2B is concerned. From what iver heard, it sounds good to me too. Alot of interesting arguments....
