I dont believe it will hurt him. From what i have seen Soriano will be hitting 2nd or 3rd in the lineup so I would expect Young to put up as good if not better numbers as last year.
There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

If he bats in the top of the lineup he will have similar, If not better results than last year. Bats at the bottom I would worry just a little.

I don't think it will hurt him any....and it could increase his value if he does move to SS....

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
It's alright. This late in our draft, I don't think you're going to give anything away about your grand drafting strategy. Besides, you've already got Young.
As for me, I go by the same name in all my leagues, so everyone knows what I'm thinking every time I make a post.
Here's what I wrote in another thread. I'll point out again that it's all speculation on my part and not guaranteed to go this way, but here's what I think based on what I'm hearing and reading here in Texas:
Madison in another thread wrote:Rumor here right now is that Soriano is going to lead off and play center field. That's just the leading rumor here in Texas, I have no official conformation of it so take it with a grain of salt.
With that said, there will be extra RBI opportunities for the young guns on the staff. I know that Fullmer isn't a big name, but being a power hitting left hander in the Ballpark In Arlington is not a bad thing at all. I expect Palmeiro like numbers from him this season. Say something around .270-35-100. That's some protection, granted not Arod, but still some protection.
Here's my projected lineup and again take it with a grain of salt since I've got nothing official on it yet:
1. CF--Soriano 2. 2B--Mike Young 3. 3B--Blalock 4. 1B--Teixeira 5. DH--Fullmer 6. RF--Brian Jordan 7. LF--Mench 8. C---Einar Diaz 9. SS--Eric Young
Not murderer's row by any means, but I've seen a lot worse. If the Rangers will sign some solid pitching (probably won't be until next offseason) then they could do very well.
There's always the possibility of a trade for some pitching. Nix and Nivar are a couple of guys that could get some attention from other teams.
Sorry for the rambling, I still rank the guys the same as I did before for fantasy though.
I'd rather see Mike Young moved to SS and let either Nivar or Nix play center, but we'll have to wait and see what the Rangers decide to do.
