Bruce Rasmus Trade

I have Bruce and I can get Rasmus plus something. How far apart are these two players? How big of a piece is missing to make this a great deal for me?

Bruce strikes out a lot but he is young and that is something that he can improve on. Rasmus has the better plate discipline but I think to have good strike zone judgement and not hit that close to .300 is pretty unimpressive for an uberprospect. If Bruce can improve his eye his offensive numbers will surely get better and he is already ahead. Just wondering why Rasmus wont end up being Mike Cameron I guess.

a level B prospect. Names like Hu, Kozma, Niemann, Morlan come to mind. Depending on league setting.

You're better off keeping Bruce because you probably wouldn't get another big piece to go with Rasmus and it's basically a wash so there's no point in doing it really.

I like Rasmus a lot, but Bruce is as close to a sure thing with the bat you can get. He is the top ranked prospect based mostly on his bat. He has good speed, but not great. He will strike out 100 times in the majors every year, however I believe he will be walking at least 80-110 times within a few years. Rasmus is a 20-20 guy waiting to happen and not a bad guy to have, but there is no way I would give up Bruce for him and a B-level prospect. Bruce will be special sooner than later. Go with Bruce unless you can get another special player besides Rasmus.

Not sure what I could actually get but his next best specs are Carlos Gonzalez, Desmond Jennings and Austin Jackson

I would think Rasmus + Gonzalez/Jennings would be a good deal for you. That said, Bruce comes with a lot less risk.
