H2H or Rotto

I have played both but was wondering what most of you preferred. I can think h2h keeps peoples chances of winning going until the end, where rotto the best team over the whole year is the winner and teams that drop out dont effect the standings as much. WHat do most of you guys prefer???

I've only done points leagues until this season. Just done leagues with a group of friends that were based on points. Its funny because some of the owners use standard 5x5 rankings and use them despite the fact that SBs are very overvalued for what they would earn in these leagues. Same thing with AVG.

Anyway, I'm keeping one of the points leagues, and adding a Roto and a H2H.

I've done H2H football with some friends for quite some time and it's always fun jawing back and forth at the weekly opponents. Maybe H2H lends itself best to football?

Doing Roto because most people say its more representative of a well balanced attack and the least easy form to exploit. Looking forward to it. Both of the new ones for me are 1st year keepers. Hopefully they go well, and can go on as keepers.

personally i prefer roto, but i have had more fun in H2H. H2H just seems to keep the medeocre owners a little more interested.

I prefir ROTO but every year i take one H2H team and do it in an NL vs. AL fashion like ESPN cause then it is more like a "world series". I would never do H2H with full league, its too boring

There's a strategy where you just get the min ip per week by starting one guy and then all relievers to lower the whip, era, and pump up the saves. You trade two cats (w, and k) for 3 (sv, whip, era).

I prefer H2H. Our league of friends has been together for over 10 years and we started out as a roto league. About 4 years ago we switched to H2H and haven't looked back. Although this year we are using a point system for the first time. The last 4 years we played H2H using 5X5 categories. We paid out add/drop $$$ to the winners of the cats at the end of the year. Unfortunately, owners started focusing on winning cats (usually paid around $200 per cat) and trading became a nightmare!! Roto is much more accurate but in about August, somebody would have to wake me up!! BORING!!

Do you have any idea what you are talking about. How can it be boaring to wake up on a Sunday morning and have your team and another tied or close to it and have to decide on who to put in your starting lineup for that day to get the win for the week. Then as you watch your games unfold and are sitting around watching stattracker and have 1 player left with 1 at bat left who could win the week for you or loose it. Please in any words that you can please describe how that roto could be less boring in your words than that. You just sit back and hope your team steals some bases and hits some homeruns.
