I know hes not a minor leaguer exactly but where would he fit in amongst prospects like Joba, Hughes, Bucholz, Kershaw and the usual suspects found in prospect lists. I have heard he will possibly open the season in AAA and he has more in common with prospects than an MLB player. How does he compare?

He is definitely in a lesser tier. And if he could be considered in the tier below those guys, it would probably be towards the bottom of that second tier.

I dunno. Keep in mind this is a tiger fan talkin, but last year Miller took his lumps in the big leagues. In the short time he spent in the minors, he dominated. I think if they kept him down to work on his secondary pitches he'd be a top 10 prospect, certainly a top 20 guy. Just my biased opinion. The guy is still green. There's a ton of upside left.

Well those guys are the top pitching prospects in the game, so Miller would be a notch below them. However i still think he can be a good pitcher.

I think Miller is right there with the top tiers.

For the longest time, until the last couple weeks, he hold up a decent ERA with a non horrible WHIP. He's still relatively unexperienced in the major league level. With a solid year in AAA, he's right up there with Joba and Kershaw, Bucholtz and Hughes are clearly one tier above those 2 now.
