Yeah, that one is right on the borderline. I like Gallardo slighty above Lincecum, but then there is Porcello. I like the what the Athletics get more. They get a few more players like Pods, Feliz and Weeks to possibly have a good year. Its just a chance thing. But I like the A's.

I like the Athletics side of things a little better. Despite taking on a lot of salary (not sure how big of a concern that is), Weeks is the better 2nd baseman, Gallardo is the best pitcher and the risk of Porcello is somewhat mitigated by the gap between Weeks and Castillo combined with the potential of Taylor Green and average-ness of Pedro Feliz.

I don't know why people keep saying Gallardo is better than Lincecum. My logic when I traded them.

Lincecum is slightly better than Gallardo based off pure stuff. That difference is more than made up with the difference in Weeks+Green vs. Porcello. And to even that off are some useful parts in Castillo for 2 junk guys with bad contract.

Explain Gallardo vs. Lincecum? I also had the chance to give Cain instead of Lincecum, but chose to keep him.
