Howdy - does anybody know if Yahoo! plans to score the games happening before opening night (see schedule below) this year? I ask because my league is making a "fantasy weekend" out of the draft this year (and I'm in charge of the planning), so I'd like to know if we'll need our draft done by the weekend of March 22.
When again does Yahoo! open up their fantasy baseball leagues? Is it like mid-feb? Last year I had league #502, so I must have been pretty on top of it...
March 25, 2008 Opening Day: Red Sox vs. A's at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan
March 26, 2008 Last day to request unconditional release waivers on a player without having to pay his full 2008 salary
March 29, 2008 Civil Rights Game: White Sox vs. Mets at AutoZone Park in Memphis, Tenn.
March 30, 2008 Opening Night: Braves vs. Nationals at Nationals Park, Washington, D.C.
Yahoo counted the Yankees - Devil Rays in Japan when that happened , because they are official games and all. Yahoo always has an option for retroactive stats so its not like you HAVE to draft before the 1st game (sox-a's)
I could be wrong but dont think the White Sox- Mets is a real game (its a special exhibition as far as i know like the HOF game they have every year during the season)

I don't see why they wouldn't count them. They are official and part of those two teams' 162 game schedule. My bet would be that Yahoo does count them.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Yup, you're right. I'm in a weekly and wondered about that....I looked under Schedule and see that the first matchup will be these dates...Mar 24 - Apr 6
