Among the top prospective free agents following the 2004 season: Garret Anderson, Carlos Beltran, Adrian Beltre, Orlando Cabrera, Eric Chavez, Matt Clement, Carlos Delgado, Nomar Garciaparra, Troy Glaus, Corey Koskie, Derek Lowe, Pedro Martinez, Matt Morris, Trot Nixon, Magglio Ordonez, Russ Ortiz, Troy Percival, Mariano Rivera, Richie Sexson, Jason Varitek, Jose Vidro and Kerry Wood.

Take any list with a grain of salt. Players sign deals during the season all the time, so expect a few guys to not be free agents at the end of the year.

Also, if the list is to find out who will have a "career year" because it's a contract year, that theory has already been shot down numerous times. Check the "search" feature in blue at the top of the screen to find the threads about it.
