Umm. Wow. I feel like I've missed something. It's was joke. It wasn't even at your expense Knapp unless you define yourself by your Cafe identity.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Hey K-nap you must admit that the baseball side has the better mods. We're more handsome, smarter, wittier and we're slick rappers.

If it will make you feel more at home we can share recipes and pics of ourselves in drag. I'm all about being a good host :-]

You mean... you don't? 8-o ;-)

I appreciate the humor and all, I just don't see it as funny. And now that we've analyzed the joke, it's REALLY not funny.

I'm not offended, if that's what you're concerned about. I'm somewhat amused by the fact that Sluggers emailed people about it, and that's really as far as that goes.

And Mookie, I do believe you guys lead the Cafes in Canadian Mods, so you do have that going for you. ;-)

Good enough for me. I'll take that as confirmation that we rock.

btw K-nap your sig is kind of petulant and bitchy. Your post says that you're not offended but your sig says otherwise.

Think of it as an homage to my second Cafe home, Mook. ;-)

There probably is some funny stuff over there, if I didn't have to wade through 10 pages of homo jokes to find it I would probably hang out over there more often. Being a gay man in the construction business I have to deal with that enough everyday as it is, it isn't something I really want to read on my leisure time.

At least I'm hoping that you are referring to something other than the homo jokes as the funny stuff that is said...

The funniest thing in this thread wasn't the joke, but the overreaction to it.

I'm so glad you can laugh at my reactions. I'll have to figure out a way to be concerned about that sometime.

It's like a foreign country over here. I don't get your jokes.

Dan, I have never watched Simpsons so I don't get this one, either.

Amazinz, I'm not offended by your crack on me, I just didn't get the joke. The rest of this thread - what an exercise in futility this has been. Much ado over nothing.

Mookie - I changed my sig back so you don't think my panties are in a twist.

If nothing else, hopefully I've given you guys something to pass the time here. :-B
