last year was a down year for a-rod if I recall, maybe even his worst in a few year. He has back problems at the beginning of the year too, so before you attack me look past just one season. Puljos had a great season and is up and coming, but dont put him as better than a-rod yet. A-rod will have ss-3b eligibility this year which is a great combo. I would take him #1 10 times out of 10
A-rod is the #1 pick with Pujols a close second. Pujols did have a better year last year, but it is difficult for me to imagine him doing much better. A-rod had a down year (for him) last year and the move into that lineup can only benefit him. He will be batting with runners on base all the time, and with Giambi, Sheffield, Matsui etc. etc. he will score a ton of runs. His SBs will probable go down though. He also has all the motivation in the world because he will be playing for a proven winner.

It wasn't really a down year. The $38 he earned was more then 99 or 00, and only $4 short of 02. His OPS+ was 148, compared to 152 in 02. His RC/27 was
02 8.65
03 8.47
He was real close to his 02 season.
