Baseball has always been my absolute favorite sport, and I'm always looking for the realist possible game to bring me closer to the game. My ideal league would be a 31-owner league in which every owner picks one team and builds it from the creation of the league. It would be the ultimate competition not only with owners in your particular league, but you could track your skills pitted against real GMs.

Do I have 30 other owners that want to make that sort of commitment? Probably not... It would be fun though.

You should try a game called Out of the Park Baseball, and join an online league. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

Awesome. Thank you. I'll try a Google search for that.

To be honest, I play because I think fantasy baseball allows me to keep myself interested in major league baseball all season. It's not that I don't like baseball, or don't enjoy watching it, but without fantasy baseball I wouldn't pay nearly the attention to MLB that I do while playing it.

I had some things come up and couldn't play fantasy football this year, and I found I really didn't miss it. I could still watch NFL games passionately and enjoy the game, without all the numbers, stats, and fantasy implications. I don't know if I'll ever play fantasy football again, actually, but I'll always like to watch the NFL.

But for baseball, I just don't know if I could stay interested in other teams around the league, besides the Cardinals, without fantasy baseball. If I weren't playing, I'd catch some games here and there and see what was going on, but it wouldn't be as fun for me.
