He's only giving up 1 year of free agency, so he's not losing out that much. I'm pretty neutral about this extension. Again, Willis is only losing 1 year of FA, so it's not a huge deal. This signing looks fantastic when you compare it to the Silva signing. At least D-train has some upside. Silva is just the hispanic Paul Byrd.

Dontrelle Willis early success was almost entirely due to unfamilarity and his funky unusual style. I can't deny that he is a horse and on that score alone is good value but from a fantasy perspective you could make a good argument for not drafting him at all in standard leagues.

So by that logic since he is switching leagues and facing a completely new batch of hitters he will revert back to his 2005 numbers plus more Ws? Sounds like a top 5 pick!!!
