Cameron for .331/.436/.767

The OBP is a tad bit more valuable so that is pretty even and that was with Edmonds in a better hitting park. Cameron will likely play about the same as Edmonds given the suspension.

You are kidding right? Edmonds .340/.406/.747 and Cameron .331/.436/.767? Or am I looking at this wrong?

I think it's OBP/SLG/OPS not AVG/OBP/SLG

He'll get a shot in ST but I'd bet on hello Schumaker, Ludwick, or Barton.

Yeah, I was thinking, "They're not already going to start Colby's timer are they?"

I was kind of hoping that Colby would get to spend a little time with Jimmy since they're cut from very similar molds, but I'm please we got anything for him while we could. Lord knows we need 3B prospects. I still think Rasmus needs to work out the kinks in AAA, and if all goes well, we'll see him in Sept. Hopefully no sooner. My leagues minors rules will look kindly on me if Colby isn't a rookie on Opening Day 2009.

Sorry I don't really care about AVG if I have OBP and SLG so I tend to forget to include it.

That made me look twice too. I am pretty sure that it OBP, SLG, and OPS.

A good move by the Cardinals; they sold him while they could and got something in return (though I admit I'd never heard of David Freese).

I know that San Diego is desperate for a starting outfielder after being turned down by Cameron, Bradley, and Fukudome, but I personally would have looked elsewhere. He's getting older by the minute, is an injury risk, and his offense is on the decline (especially against left-handed pitchers). It's a good thing the Padres didn't give up much to get him; they can't expect a whole lot out of Jimmy Baseball these days.

It's a shame Colby Rasmus won't be ready for the jump until September at the very earliest; the transition would have been perfect. Until then, Rick Ankiel is probably the starting CF.
