George Mitchell works for the Red Sox

This whole thing is a joke anyway. He had no subpeona power during this investigation and no cooperation from the players union. It cost about $25 million to produce this piece of garbage as it turns out was headed by a person who quite possibly has a conflict of interest. Didn't everyone already know he worked with the Red Sox?

Mitchell is a director of the Boston Red Sox, as well as chairman of The Walt Disney Co., the parent of ESPN.

Mitchell said his role with the Red Sox will not create a conflict. "If, in any way, anyone associated with the Red Sox is implicated, they will be treated just like everyone else," he said.

Well I looked through the GM thread here and no one mentioned it. Oh and that quote is from him. So I guess I should believe it.

I'm just saying why make a big deal about it now when it was public knowledge 20 months ago? Cause no one thought his report was going to have any teeth and now they want to discredit him.

Obviously this has always had a bad air around it for some since it was announced (his "conflict" that is)

I wouldnt worry about it. Looking back sure maybe MLB shoulda have anticipated this in hindsight.
