Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.

Way too high to take Ellsbury imo. You want at least a 4 cat player at this spot, not a 3 cat player.

Fair enough, but I went with somebody who will be productive right away, and choices like Joba and Hughes worry me as pitchers who have not proven themselves as starters on the major league level, and thus to me, are too risky here, despite Joba's success in relief. I don't see any other hitters who are as sure as Ellsbury to play significant minutes in 2008 and contribute heavily while doing so. If I went long-term potential I would probably throw Kershaw in there.

This is how I would round out the top 6

1. Jay Bruce
2. Colby Rasmus
3. Evan Longoria
4. Joba Chamberlain
5. David Price
6. Clay Buchholz

This is how my league actually went in the first 6

1. Jay Bruce
2. Evan Longoria
3. David Price
4. Joba Chamberlain
5. Clay Buccholz
6. Colby Rasmus

Thanks everyone for all the information. Nobody thinks Fukudome will be in the top 5.

It seems silly to draft a 30 year old with prospects. None of us seriously know about Fukudome anyway so it's hard to put him anywhere. I think there's only 8 definite top prospects anyway (the 6 I listed plus Maybin and Kershaw) and then 9-25 is basically interchangeable so he could fit anywhere in that range. The 6 I listed are the group that are the safest blend of potential and proven production. Kershaw issues alot of walks and Maybin is still more tools than numbers at this point.
