The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the Padres and Tadahito Iguchi have come to terms on a one-year contract
A pretty odd choice for Iguchi. The second baseman wanted a three-year deal and was offered two years by at least one team, the Rockies. However, he's opted to take a one-year deal to play in the game's toughest ballpark for hitters, something that doesn't figure to help his value next winter. I was hoping he was going to Colorado...woulda been a nice sleeper. In San Diego I don't think theres much value there for fantasy baseball purposes.

Agree. Either Colorado or staying in Philly to play third for them. Oh well, he's pretty much off my draft board now.

Fantasy wise probably not for a 33 yo. However, he does get on base at a good clip and has moderate power. Can't be any worse than Marcus who was very disappointing in 07 to say the least. Also, Petco isn't that bad for righty hitters.

He has played his whole career in two of the top 5 hitter's parks in baseball. Normally I think the impact of stadiums is a little overstated, but going from a top 5 to a bottom 5 stadium for hitters must have an effect.

Ichuchi is guaranteed around $4 million. I think that's a pretty good signing for the Padres.
