Looks like the Yanks picked up Latroy Hawkins for 1 year 3+ million.
Not a bad deal I personally think he'll get owned in the AL EAST but he did decent in Coors although every time he came in I crossed my fingers, toes, and eyes.
On a side note the Rox's bullpen is not shaping up to well.

He can't be any worst than Farnsworth
Isn't Farnsworth paid twice as much , so he's twice as bad?
Kyle Farnsworth p 3 years/$17M (2006-08)
* signed as a free agent 11/05 * $1.5M signing bonus * 06:$5M, 07:$5.25M, 08:$5.5M * may earn additional $0.5M annually if he leads club in Rolaids relief points

Wow thats alot. The Denver papers are wondering why he didn't take the Rox's offer.
Although our Dumb management declined his 1 year 3.75 mill offer to offer him 1 year 3.2 mill (WTF!) we are wondering why he would choose 3.75 million in NYC where everything costs twice as much?
3.75 Mill in NYC probably gets you a nice 1 bedroom in Queens
I watched a lot of the Hawk when he was with the Twins... live arm but no nerves. Any time he was in a pressure situation, he really blew up; when he was the Twins' closer a friend of mine nicknamed him, "The Equalizer". Not good.
I see him becoming Felix Heredia, part deux... brought on with two outs, the bases juiced, and the Yankees down by 1... leaves with the Yankees down by 6.
Obviously, I'm thrilled.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
This probably signals the end of Luis Vizcaino and OMG please do not tell me that this is going to be our 8th inning guy.As was mentioned previously, this guy absolutely crumbles in pressure situations.I understand not wanting to give Vizcaino a multi year deal but $3.5-$4M on this guy is not money well spent;Thankfully it's only for one season.
