As long as he plays somewhere else which is most likely what is going to happen if the Johan deal that includes Ellsbury never pans out.

IF the sox trade for Santana, I think its almost certain Ellsbury will be centerpiece of the trade.

I don't know, from what i was hearing during the winter meetings, the twins seemed to be leaning toward the John Lester package, which included crisp and not Jacoby.

I'd rather have Lester and Crisp if the Twins can get a couple other prospects as well. Ellsbury's value is way too high. He shouldn't be on the same level as Hughes. Right now, the Red Sox have him better than Hughes which is insane.

Yeah, if I were the Twins I'd want the Lester package. And as a Red Sox fan, I would prefer they take that one as well since I think we have the pitching to make up for it.

What, do you think the Sox are going to say he's less of a talent than Hughes? He's their player, they can think as highly of him as they want. Its up to the Twins to determine his value in this situation, not the Sox.
