You know, I didn't make the playoffs and I have a way better team:

Just goes to show you how unpredictable fantasy football really is.

How the heck did you miss the playoffs with that team?
I finished with the league best record of 9-3 (barely lost the 2 of 3 games) and 2nd highest total points so it certainly wasn't a fluke. The team that I beat also had a 9-3 record but 5th most points scored.

Well, I finished fourth in scoring this year, but my seven losses happened on every odd week, meaning I had to suffer through the bye week of Tomlinson, Anderson, Hester, Houshmandzadeh and Steve Smith, and both defenses. On top of that, because of a fluke of the schedule, my opponents had great weeks each of those weeks against me.
And not only was it the bye weeks that did me in - my "main" players traveled twice as many times on odd weeks (26 total) as they did on the even weeks (13 total). So even if they weren't off that week, they were usually on the road, thus scoring suffered.
I averaged 93 points a game on even weeks, but only 63 points a game on the odd weeks. My opponents averaged 65 points on even weeks, but 89 points on odd weeks.
So even though I had a really good team, I just could never put it together this year because of bye weeks.

With 1 pt for every ten years, you should be safe.
I have two leagues... My money league I sucked in. I was second last year and thought I would be good this year too. I started out 3-0-1 and then lost 7 in a row. I won the last two but it was too late to make the playoffs. I just had like all of my picks do me in. VY, Delhomme, Henry, TJones, CJ, Driver, VDavis, etc. I missed on everyone except Kevin Jones and Marshall, and they weren't enough...
My other league is with a bunch of the baseball guys here. That team will be playing for the championship next week (opponent TBD, either Sim or GJG).
QB - Hasselbeck QB - Rosenfels RB - LT RB - MBIII WR - Boldin WR - Marshall WR - AGonzalez TE - VDavis Flex - Grant K - Crosby
I started Owens and Crayton along side Romo in one of my leagues. Combined points for week 15: 8.56. My opponent had a lackluster week as well, so I have an outside chance. All I need is for Berrian, Clark, and Gould to give me an extra 30 points.
2nd (out of 10) in points...missed playoffs 9th (out of 12) in points...first round bye...still alive in this one...my worst team...go figure 3rd (out of 14) in points...first round bye
gotta love the crapshoot game we call fantasy football, huh?
just curious to know if anyone heard any stories from fantasy footballers who had brian westbrook yesterday and were they affected by his dive on the goal line ?
