That would be important because if he could play RF than we wouldn't have to play Johnny Gomes out there and his unreliable defensive self

If I were the Tigers I'd hang on to Inge with all of those injury risks. Especially if he can play anywhere. I guess the question is, is he ok with being a bench player?

some rumors the phils might try to get inge, but that they want detroit to give some cash to cover his big contract.

I think the Tigers should keep him. I have watched him play and I do think he can play anywhere.

I seriously doubt the Tigers can keep him.

Inge is a decent player and a good teammate, but the guy has a lot of pride. I remember him being upset that the Tigers would go out and get Pudge when he was the catcher. I really dont think Brandon would accept going back to the bench at this point.

I wonder what Inge would fetch value wise in a trade for the Tig's. i havnt heard any names linked yet but i am curious. his contract is about his only negative but i'm sure detroit would cover some of that.

you can include me with the rest in thinking he could play any position and do it very well also.

Dombrowski just did a radio interview on local station am 1270. A couple of important notes:
-Inge has asked to be traded saying he wants to be an everyday 3B somewhere. Inge does not want to play C anymore. They are trying to accomodate him.
- While he is happy to have Willis, he did not deny that they tried to move him to the Mets before the deal was done.
- The price of Crazy Bread is going up 35 cents to cover the costs of the new players. :-B

That is the final straw! Dump all those players and bring back the '03 Tigers. :-D

I can't even think of a good doable trade for Inge, but it does sound like he is already gone.

That's what I expect them to do if they move him. Nothing great but maybe a guy who hasn't lived up to full potential and a couple guys who have role player potential.
