Ah... Good. Now I know I hit a nerve. Your lack of a snide comment to my last post indicated that you didn't completely understand what I was getting at. I'm glad I was able to convey my point this time.
Managers on the whole are overrated IMO. They don't have nearly the impact most people give them credit for. In the time TLR has been in STL I've been impressed with when he decides to steal, hit and run and squeezes. His bullpen management and personnel management have never really impressed me. And I don't agree Tony was the reason they won the WS. The pitching really stepped up bullpen included, Yadi was a machine, and they got a ton of big hits. Tony made a lot of great moves but he had a lot of help.

Agreed. I always say that coaches and managers take way too much credit when the team is successful and way too much blame when the team is horrible.
That being said, the idea that the Cards won by luck and that TLR is completely lucky is beyond ridiculous. People let their personal feelings get in the way of properly judging people too often.
