In a Baseball Prospectus chat today, Will Carroll said "Fukudome will decide today. Someone made a big offer." By that, Carroll means Fukudome will sign today.

He is JD Drew-lite. A guy who is going to hit .280-.290, around 20 HRs, and be around an .825 OPS type player and throw in a handful of steals. About the only thing that won't be JD Drew-lite is his contract. If he gets less than 4 years/$11 Million per I would be shocked.

I'd be pretty surprised if he hit 20 HR. He barely averaged over a 20 a year in Japan.

Japanese ballparks are on avg a little bigger than MLB ones.
