I love 1970s comedies because they are so politically incorrect.
Having grown up in an over-the-top PC place like New Zealand it is like a breath of fresh air.
Australia had something similar called Kingswood Country , except the main character was more dim-witted.

The thing about All in the Family is that it was basically a one of a kind here in America. The 1970s, which covers the majority of the show's run, was full of sappy crap comedies. The shows in competing time slots were things like The Brady Bunch, Bewitched, Happy Days, The Odd Couple, and Maude. Archie Bunker was like having South Park on one network while everyone else is showing Full House and Saved By the Bell.
