Clearly this guy did not perform as expected last year. Worringly, there was really no improvement on OPS between the first half and second (thanks to an abysmal August) so there is not "he improved in the second half" silver lining. Strangely considering that he plays in a major hitter's park, he hit better on the road than at home.
Given the results of 2007, how much shoudl Drew be downgraded from the "can't miss" prospect he was considered to be last season?

Was last year his rookie season?? or was it his second. Either way he's a young player and I'm sure he'll get better. Hopefully he doesn't have his brothers genes.
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

To me drew seems like a 15-75 .280 kind of guy, with a little more. That's solid, but will be overvalued in the draft because of his name, and hype.

at one point he was ranked higher then Delmon Young in BA's 2nd half list before he got called up for his cup of coffee.... i remember Callis saying he's got elite talent and will be a healthy version of his brother but at SS. he was super hyped and there was merit for it. he has alot to prove this year, many people had him ranked well over Tulo as a prospect, and the only silver lining i see with him thus far was his playoffs last year.
he really needs to step it up this year at the plate though.

So if you are in need of a SS still and he is the top of your list are you gonna pass on him? Or just wait a round from where you have him projected and still take him.
I personally like him next year. I have him doing about what you have.
I like him as well but I'm a little more reserved for next year....

I think he is a breakout candidate. He's capable of 20+ bombs easily with a good AVG.

I don't think there's any doubt he's one of the biggest breakout candidates for next year.
My '08 prediction:
.290 18 85 20
