Looks like I am the only 1 that thinks that Inge at 3B and Cabrera in LF is a much better option than Cabrera at 3B and Jones/Thames in LF. Sure, Inge had a bad season offensively but he will bounce back and his glove is great. Oh well. He could net a decent return in a trade.

I agree that this would be a better set up, but wasn't there some issues with Miggy not wanting to switch positions last year or in 06 in FLA? And even though Jones isn't a feared hitter, he is a much needed left-handed stick and should get onbase more than Inge.

Thoughts on what this does for Cabrera's value and projection? I'm assuming it has to go up, though Detroit, like Miami, isn't a great park. But the lineup. Man.

I think with the NL to AL translation knocking down his avg/obp/slg that the lineup difference will probably be a wash. I think we see a very slight dip in hr's, a small-to-mid-size dip in avg, a small-to-mid-size increase in runs and quite a few more rbi's. Oh...and he still won't run.

Edit: On second thought that's probably a slight increase in value. The avg is taking a hit as is the power (though very slightly here). But the context numbers should be appreciably better, especially on the runs.

The Angels have a lot of young talent but that's not what I meant. I was talking about how their talks dragged on forever while it seems like Detroit just swooped in and made a deal.
