3rd YR, $110 Contract Dynasty looking for New Owner. Cafe Ow

Ok, so say for that team above, delgado, furcal, and jeter are all in 1 year contracts. So say I do the auction, and then decide to drop them all at no penalty and clear up a good chunk of my income. Can I think go and pick them back up off free agency and only assign then the $5 FA salary?

The current rules state that you can't drop players until after auction. So the players on the roster are there until the season start. If you want to drop a guy after the auction, and they have 1 year left on their deal, the drop is free of charge (no penalty). That player would then go into waivers where he would sit for 3 days. At that time, any number of teams could make a claim on said player. When you drop a player, you are unable to make a waiver claim on that player, CBS doesn't allow it.

Still open here. The guys who were interested have not proceeded further or wouldn't be able to pay buy in until mid-season which puts the league at too large of a risk.
