Scott Rolen and Duncan for Blalock... Could be an interesting deal for both teams.

According to this: http://trsullivan.mlblogs.com/trsullivan/2007/12/tennessee_waltz_4.html, it's fallacy. Jon Daniels shoots it down a bit. It makes no sense from St. Louis' perspective. I don't view Blalock as some kind of big upgrade over Rolen, and Duncan is a pretty good player himself. Plus Dave Duncan is the STL pitching coach (I guess I have no proof that that would matter, but I would think it might).

Also, Doug Melvin shot down the Ben Sheets talk and said that Boston never contacted him. He said he's betting that was thrown out there to induce other teams dealing SP to panic a little.
