Hamels vs Verlander

Postby horatio » Thu Nov 29, 2007 4:36 pm

Trying to figure which of these two I prefer. They both play on good offensive teams, bullpen... I don't know I guess I'd give the advantage to Verlander as long as Zumaya and Fernando Rodney can stay healthy - So I figure Verlander should get you a few more wins and is probably less of an injury risk, but, Hamels did have a better ERA, WHIP, and .966 Ks/IP vs Verlander's.909.

I'm conflicted.

Personally I would feel better taking Hamel's first as well.

Is this a challenge of fist fighting, pimping or manhood size? In either case Hamels is the obvious winner

I think the two are very close but I'd go with Hamels by a hair. If not for Hamels's injuries, this would be an easier decision.

Unless his ballpark scares you away that much, (which it should not) you have to take Hamels over Verlander.
