any projections on what his numbers may look like in his prime? is this guy going to be a solid catcher or an all-star catcher?

I think he'll be an All-Star catcher. He'll hit for a good average, he knows how to get on base, he doesn't strikeout a lot and he can hit for power.

Everything to date points to All-Star, and the earliest of comparasins I have read are Joe Mauer ++Power, -Contact.

He held his own in the Hawaii League. He put up a .779 OPS, and a 36.6 XBH%, which isn't spectacular but it is the first time he picked up a bat as a pro, so it doesn't hurt him any.

I am very anxious to see what he does in a full season in the minors.

I think he is AJ Pierzynski with a little more contact. Maybe even slightly more power. 25-30 HR in his prime, hitting around .290

He is a great catching prospect. There were some concerns that he might be a little too big to be a catcher, but it seems like he is going to stay in that position for the time being.

i like the guy but i have heard that he may not stick at C, i hope he does because in 3-4 years he might be the top 5 C in the league. Love his power potential

i think this is a very fair comparison, he doesnt have the batting eye of Mauer but he has more power. he's a tall kid around 6'5 so i wonder if he even sticks full time behind the dish, i have doubts with Mauer at his 6'6 size as well.

but clearly a .300 30 100 type player in his prime. I think his cieling is higher then Mauers personaly.
