I'll talk with my brother about that all the time. If you grew up as a pre-teen in the 80s, you lived in the Golden Era of cartoon television. You had He-Man, Transformers, Smurfs, Thundercats, Voltron, GI Joe... And those are just the ones I can name off the top of my head. There was a brief blossom in the 90s with the new Batman, Animaniacs, Superman... The WB lineup. But it wasn't nearly as robust as the stuff from the 80s.

+Sonic the Hedgehog
Was a battle of the video games ever done? Although Goldeneye would probably win hands down. Or Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

-- Come on! They have one female servicing a large group of males. That implies a species that lays eggs. -- Oh my God, you're crazy! They're so obviously mammals! -- Please! She'd be in estrus 24/7 if she didn't lay eggs. -- Smurfs don't lay eggs! I won't tell you this again! Papa Smurf has a f***ing beard! They're mammals!
Sometimes it takes a crazy person to see the truth. If so, I'm a freaking lunatic.

I was 5 or 6 in the glory days of those 80's cartoons. My first lunch pail in kindergarten was that of He-Man. I probably enjoyed those shows but wish I was a bit older so I could remember them better.
In circa 1989-1993 there was Tiny Toon Adventures. I remember that show fondly, and after that was the WB lineup of Animaniacs, Earthworm Jim, Freakazoid, and later the spinoff of Pinky & The Brain. At that time, Fox had Power Rangers & VR Troopers, but by then I was 10 or 11 and some of those shows wore out their welcome after half a season in my opinion, except for Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain. I loved the original Batman animated series.
