3 Round minor league draft ongoing

My turn is coming up relatively soon and I am a bit unsure about my 3rd pick. Player can only be drafted if in A, AA or AAA ball with Zero MLB experience.

I have taken so far:

1. Clayton Kershaw
2. Matthew Antonelli

My needs are in the power dept I think (this is a 12 team H2h Yahoo Roto League). If you guys have any thoughts or suggestions Id love to hear them.

Could you list either some of the players available, or at least the players taken. Would be easier to give some solid suggestions with at least an idea.


Maybe someone like Marrero, Moustakas or Clement?

Those three plus Rasmus are gone as well as Bruce, McCutchen... most of the top names. Quite a few like Longoria and Maybin were taken last season as they were loaded into the Yahoo Database.

Rule 1: Never draft based on perveived need. By the time most minor leaguers are impact players the scape of your team is almost certainly going to be different.

Anyhow, how about Beau Mills, Jason Heyward, Carlos Triunfel, or Lars Anderson? (in that order)

Mills/ Anderson taken, cant draft Heyward as he hasnt played A ball it appears... SS is intriguing but not sure about that having Drew already

Worry about that when the time comes. W/O knowing who else is available, if Triunfiel is available he should be your pick. What about Angel Villalona? I'd take him before Triunfiel.

Why don't you post the draft thus far. We'd be able to help you much better knowing who has been selected.

I like Teagarden then Davis of those you listed.

I would also rather Triunfiel though. When dealing with prospects and speculating for years down the road, there is no point in thinking of what you have now. No one knows what will happen.

Triunfiel was taken and Villalona isnt eligibile for drafting. Going to go with either Teagarden or Davis I think
