This kid is gonna be a star....Dominated at Texas and now is in the Cards farm....I really like his upside. I am going to snag him in the 5th of our 5 rd draft

I don't believe Russell ever signed with the Cards and will play his Sr. year at Texas. He will then reenter the 2008 June draft.
He should be a stud but most likely will not be a part of the Cards system unless they luck out and draft him again.

Savoy is right except Russell will be Junior this upcoming season, he was a draft eligible sophomore who didn't sign. Must people worry about Russell's game translating to wood.

I actually think most people worry about his ability to swing and not hit the ball not the bat he's using.
