So when Republicans say taxes are too high, are they right?

YES! YES!

But when Democrats say taxes are too low, are they right too?

YES! and YES!.


It's a pet peeve of mine when people say taxes are too high or too low but never say what kind of taxes as if referring to some all encompassing number. I hate it when I take a political quiz and I get asked if taxes should be higher or lower? Well, I think wage taxes should be lower and corporate taxes should be higher but is that ever one of the choices to pick from? No!

You can't cut taxes when you're policing the world, have a welfare state, create a new entitlement system every other year, have "wars" on poverty and drugs, and borrow $2 billion dollars every day from China / print money out of thin air.

Lower taxes are only feasible if we change our ideas about what the role of government ought to be.


And I can't think of ANYONE that WANTS higher taxes. So that question is pretty worthless IMO.

REALLY?!? I can think of about half the country, off the top of my head. All of the democratic candidates are in favor of raising taxes on the upper class, at the very least.
