Hermida hit .340 in the 2nd half of last year and .290+ overall with 18 homers after he appeared healthy and strong for the first time in the show.
it wouldnt surprise me at all if he blows up like he did post allstar.
As to Maybin v. Rasmus, I'll go against the grain and say Rasmus. I wasn't super excited about what Maybin did in A ball last year (A is the only place he got more than 50 ABs - 20 AB in AA, 49 AB in MLB). I think you could argue there are about 6 different hitters who had better (or at least equivalent) statistical seasons in A ball, including Christopher Marrero, Carlos Triunfel, Austin Jackson, Kyle Blanks and Jose Tabata.
Rasmus, OTOH, tore AA the hell up. Justin Upton is probably the only guy who clearly did better in AA last year. I guess you could argue Longoria's time in AA was on Rasmus' level (even though Longoria was a year older), and also argue that Bruce's limited AB (66) outshone Rasmus, but we're talking about consensus top five prospects here.
And if you're worried about playing time, it's not like Jim Edmunds is 29, or even 35, anymore. Plus, it's not like the young guys, Ankiel and Duncan, have the talent to block Rasmus. Frankly, I think RAsmus starts in AAA in gets a mid-season callup (right around Edmunds first back injury).
