Who has the ugliest swing in baseball?

Postby Boyakasha » Thu Oct 11, 2007 10:31 pm

A friend and I were discussing this. I said Lance Berkman. He said Vlad Guerrero. But, I think there's a certain poetry to the violence in Vlad's swing. Who did we forget about? Who has the ugliest swing in baseball?

Matt Diaz. He leans back before the ball is thrown and looks extremely okward.
Life is like riding an elevator. It has a lot of ups and downs and someone is always pushing your buttons.

Hideki Matsui. He looks like a little leaguer, backing out of every pitch. Seriously, I used to bat like him when I was 9 years old and afraid of the ball. Even when this guy his well he looks awkward.

Todd Pratt?

Oh, he isn't here anymore. Can't give it to a guy who ends up with good stats.

Pat the Bat has the best, and worst (depending on key situation) swing you will ever see.

Aaron Rowand - He looks like he has a stiff back, stiff neck and the bat at a crazy angle at address in the batters box.

I don't know about swing, but Craig Counsell has one of the funkiest batting stances I've ever seen.

That's just who came to mind when I read the topic. It just doesn't look like all that extra stuff does any good, but whatever, he's a major leaguer and I'm not... :-S
