In a really weird conicidence, I read somewhere else this morning that there were 4 countries that aren't metric. I'll check that book when I get home to see which one is disputed.
Maybe the common person in the country doesn't use the metric system, but I can assure that the top engineers, physicists, and chemists in the USA use the metric system nearly exclusively.
