Smart Car

Postby Yoda » Wed Oct 03, 2007 5:40 pm

Is anyone looking at these at all? I just reserved one... My wife probably won't let me get it but I am looking to replace my car with something that is very fuel efficient.

So many new things going on :-S . Is this one what you mean:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart_(automobile)

Probably couldn't pay me to drive one of those though. Just too tiny for me and not my style. Not to mention that in an accident with practically any other vehicle, you'd get crushed. :-o

I can see how people might like it though, and with the gas mileage and things, it could sell and possibly even become popular ;-D . That's cool as people like all kinds of different things, but I just don't think one of those is for me.

Actually, the Smart Cars have surprisingly good legroom. When I was at a Mercedes store in a mall in England 5 years ago, I tried out a smart car and was surprised I fit all in one piece. For the record, I'm 6' 3" and 230-240 lbs.

Frankly, I'd never drive one either. Definitely a far cry from my style and if I'd want a compact with decent enough gas mileage and fairly affordable, I'd want the new Evo. ;-D Even though I'm not too crazy about cars tagged with the rice rocket label.

Oh, and Knight Rider and Batmobile are no match for the Mach V. Go, Speed Racer, Go! :-D

Funny story. :-b Reminds me of the comedian who said everything in the entire world should be made of Nerf. No one would ever be hurt by anything. :-b

Rice burner is what the mechanic called my '05 Tiburon when I had the 30K maintenance done. Now have an '07 Tiburon to go with it, so I can say that it doesn't bother me any :-b . One of these days I'll get around to taking some pictures and posting them.
