The MVP and CY are done by the beat writers of each city. 2 vote MVP, 2 get CY. The Gold Glove is done by the managers. They don't put much time into it.

Yeah, I agree with this. A lot of times it seems like they just pick whomever has a history of winning it. In other words, Omar Vizquel.

I give Tulo the slight edge due to the Rox's making the playoffs.

If he doesn't win ROTY he should win Gold Glove. Is it the same group of voters?? I can see people saying well we want to reward Tulo for his glove and braun for his bat hence a ROTY for Braun and Gold Glove for Tulo

Man this should be a slam dunk for Braun. Why give Tulo the edge based on the ROX making the playoffs? If the race were close I could see that, but this is not close. I also think with Tulo and any other Rockies batter their stats should be taken with a grain of salt. Lets face it, it is easier to hit a home run when you are on a mountain. Its also harder for a pitcher to throw a breaking ball. So they can really just sit on the fastball. Even with Tulo's stats being inflated by the mountain air, Braun dusted him with the bat and on the basepaths. I don't think good defense and the Rox making the playoffs should move Tulo past Braun. In Braun you are talking about a guy that if he played all year, probably not only wins the ROY, but the MVP as well. Tulo is good, but not Braun good.
