Who would be the best starter for 5 X 5?
How would you rank them (1-3)?
I haven't heard anything about Schmidt's elbow surgery, How well did that go? and how does that effect him this year?
Mussina (Highest era but most wins)
Hudson (Lowest # of Ks of all of them)
Schmidt (Might have a slow start but should be fine overall)
That order looks good to me. Mussina is definitely No. 1 in my book with the likelihood of the most WINS and excellent K's and Whip.
Hudson 2nd more on the strength of a weakened batting lineup and a worry over Rhodes as the closer. Keith Foulke was unbelievable last year and he is going to leave a huge hole in that bullpen.
Schmidt last with plenty of question marks over his health. He has had too many injuries (has pitched over 200 innings only 3 times in 8 seasons in the majors!) to be sure he will rebound from this lastest one with any confidence.

I'd have Mussina first and flip a coin on Hudson/Schmidt.

With 11 votes in so far, here is the update
If you took it in a 3-2-1 vote format Hudson is the favorite right now, with Schimdt and Mussina in a very close race for #2.
3-2-1 voting results so far, Number of 1st place votes in ():
Hudson (6)--27.5 pts
Schimdt (2)--20.5 pts
Mussina (3)--20 pts

Keep them coming this turned out to be more interesting than I thought.
